About Us Title Graphic

Living in Northeast Tennessee, we are completely surrounded by some of the most wonderful motorcycle playgrounds in the country. Lucky us, huh? Of course, one of our favorite pastimes as a married couple takes place on sunny Sunday afternoons. Twisty mountain roads are the main attraction, and motorcycles are our vehicles of choice for exploring the mountaintops and valleys of the Blue Ridge and Appalachian mountains. Riding has been a blessing to our marriage because it has given us the opportunity to spend lots of quality time together, strengthening our marriage in the process, while enabling us to see lots of wonderful places we might not otherwise have gone. A side benefit is that we’ve met lots of interesting people along the way, and we’ve come to realize that motorcyclists are some of the nicest, friendliest, and most helpful people we could ever meet. Although we came to riding motorcycles a bit later in life than some, we have been enjoying this wonderful sport for several years now.

If you see us riding, you’ll notice that we always wear full protective gear and full-face helmets. This isn’t because we’re wannabe racers; in fact, we truly believe in trying to portray motorcycling as a safe, fun activity that all types of people would enjoy if they would just give it a chance. Wearing protective gear is simply for the “what if” factor, and on June 29, 2002, the “what if” factor was a deer tackling Lesley. After sliding on asphalt a good 120 feet with no road rash and only minor damage to her body, she now considers herself a bonafide poster child for why riders should wear leathers and full-face helmets.

We hope that by visiting our website, you will want to take the time to visit our playgrounds. No matter what your age, style of riding, or bike of choice, there are roads for you to enjoy among the motorcycle playgrounds of the Southeast.

Shady Valley

It’s anotherbeautiful day in Shady Valley, TN, as we start out from the Shady Valley Country Store on a little jaunt. Lesley’s first ride after the “deer incident.”

Blue Ridge

There’s no place like the Blueridge Parkway! Here we are at Graveyard Fields, milepost 418.8. This is an early May ride, which can be quite chilly!

A Word About Safety: Unfortunately the sport of motorcycling can be dangerous. We urge you to take either the Motorcycle Safety Foundation Beginner Rider Course and/or Experienced Rider Course. Please, always wear full protective gear. Only you can be responsible for your personal safety; therefore, always ride defensively and ride within your abilities. Remember that crashes can happen at any time, often through no fault of your own. It’s best to be prepared and not need your gear, than to need it and not have it.
